The Mud Bowl

We traveled to Kansas City this weekend for four games, two with varsity, two with JV, one incredibly muddy. We were like the seventh team to play on the field on Saturday after it had rained all day long. The arc area was a complete pit of mud. Some girls even slid through the mud for fun. Obviously, they had a great time.

The girls played really really hard, but we lost all our games this weekend. Varsity played the two best teams in the league (Blue Valley and Notre Dame de Scion aka Kansas City). Junior varsity played St. Theresa's junior varsity and Kansas City's junior varsity. It was what my dad likes to call "character building."

We had a great weekend at home. Varsity lost to St. Theresa's Academy in the morning but came back to defeat Shawnee Mission East. Junior Varsity won its first game against Shawnee Mission East's JV squad. Here are a few photos from the JV game, taken by Trish Deacy (Emma's mom).

Millard Varsity and Junior Varsity has games tomorrow, Saturday, April 17, at the Westside Community Center on 108th Street against some teams from Kansas City.
